About Us

Elsie Communications has a long standing history of commitment to providing quality telecommunications services to our customers.

Back in 1906, the first telephone system in the Elsie Community consisted of a barbed wire fence. People wired their telephones to the fence and had a workable system when the weather was fair and the fence in good repair. Whenever the fence was spliced, the splice was breached by a smooth wire for a good connection. At gates, 2x4 boards were nailed to the posts on either side of the gate to form a frame for a continuation on the other side.


Today, Elsie Communications provides advanced communications services to approximately 200 subscribers in Elsie, Nebraska. Located in Southwestern Nebraska, Elsie Communications serves residents in Perkins County utilizing a digital switching platform to offer a suite of quality voice, video and data products and services our customers can rely on!
